Given the inherently unsanitary and unsafe conditions inside jails, where social distancing is impossible, CCBF continues to push for mass release from Cook County Jail as the only way to protect incarcerated people from COVID-19.

We will also continue to pay any needed bonds for protesters arrested in support of the Black Lives Matter movement in Cook County and other Illinois counties.

For the latest updates on our efforts, please see our blog.

Your support enables Chicago Community Bond Fund to continue advocating for a mass release from Cook County Jail and support people arrested for defending Black lives. It also enables us to continue building the campaign needed to make sure no one is in jail simply because they cannot afford to pay a money bond. With your help, we’re going to end money bond in Illinois.

Thank you for your continued commitment to pretrial freedom.

The Chicago Community Bond Fund is a 501(c)3 organization. Your donation is tax-deductible.

Checks can be mailed to Chicago Community Bond Fund, 601 S. California, Chicago, IL 60612. We can also receive donations of stock and bitcoin. Please contact us with any questions.
