Welcome CCBF’S New Campaign Coordinator

We are excited to announce our newest staff person: Ruby Pinto! Starting today, Ruby will be serving as the Campaign Coordinator for the Coalition to End Money Bond. Since 2014, Ruby has had the opportunity to organize with a variety of groups around the issue of money bail. She served as chair of the Decarcerate Chi campaign with SOUL – Southsiders Organized for Unity and Liberation before taking part in the #ByeAnita campaign, which led to the unseating of former Cook County State’s Attorney Anita Alvarez in 2016.

Ruby has been a member of For the People Artists Collective since its founding in 2015, and was part of the curation team for 2017’s “Do Not Resist?” city-wide exhibition. She has had the honor of contributing to various initiatives to address police violence and mass incarceration through an abolitionist lens and believes that artistic expression and creative collaboration are key components to building a just future.

Join us in welcoming Ruby to our team!
